Up And Ready To Go

I woke everyone up at 5:30 AM and now everyone is up and getting ready to go. This will be the last post from our hotel here. We meet downstairs in 15 minutes to catch the shuttle for the airport. By the time most of you back home are reading this, we should be in the air and on our way to Atlanta and then to Birmingham. Please pray for safe travel, traveling mercies and that we will make our flights and that they will be on time. I’ll post along the way. Slán go fóill, Eire (goodbye for now, Ireland)! We’re leaving on a jet plane…

Everyone Asleep – Early Wake Up On Sunday

Hello everyone! We had a good day in Dublin. It was a little cool, windy and rainy at times, but it was still a good day and I think everyone had fun although they were all tired after such a long day. Dinner was good and everyone wanted to get back to their rooms to get everything packed so I could weight the bags to ensure we would not have any overage fees. Eric and Jennifer departed for Scotland to join Alasdair (our Scottish friend who has served on many summer teams) for a few days there. Tonight, all is quiet here in the hotel and everyone is asleep. I will be getting up about 4:30 in the morning (about 4.25 hours from now) and waking the team so we can make the early morning shuttle to the airport. We will then grab a quick bite to eat and get to our gate as soon as our flight pops up on the Delta screens and is available for our check-in. We will depart at 11:40 AM from Dublin and should arrive in Birmingham about 6:24 PM on Delta flight 5500. I will be posting to the blog as often as possible as we travel from Dublin to Birmingham. I will have to shut off my phone while we are in flight, but I will turn it back on as soon as we get the all clear. If we see that we are going to have any delays, I will post here and if there are any schedule changes, I will post that as well. Well, I’d better see if I can get a few hours sleep before wake-up time. Take care and we will post as often as possible and we look forward to seeing everyone back home!
